It's been a long hard road (at times seeming quite bleek), but my garden is finally sprouting. There's pictures in my gallery of this incredible transformation. Working that dirt absolutely sucked!!! My palms blistered up, but I did get to witness the unmistakable sound of a grown ass man scaring children with a weedwacker.
The radishes, spinache, and green beans are doing really well (though now I can see I planted them too close) and even the cucumbers, which quickly became to victims of slugs have one surviving plant. I'm not sure if any of the herbs survived or if it's just grass that encrouched on the territory, perhaps time will tell.
I was not of the opinion that I needed help with toilet training. Perhaps I was mistaken.
I woke up this morning to find Betty missing : ( Betty being my Ross, and while Karriem had suggested I keep the bike inside (not that my neighborhood is any better) I've been lazy and locking it in front of his house. So I guess I'm in the market for a new bike. It's actually a little bit liberating and I'm looking forward to owning a bicycle that weighs under 50 lbs. At least I'm (apparently) in a spending mood since I just bought my new computer so that will make it easier to spend the six to eight hundered dollars I'm considering.
DC has not been impressing me lately.
