I'm all packed and ready to leave. My flight takes off tomarrow morning at 6:30am. My tax refund came just in time and I think I have all my reservations in order. I'll see you all soon <3
As many of you may know, my annual trip to Seattle is coming up next week (rather than the usual September visit) as my company is flying us all out there for the 2005 Global Leadership Conference. It's going to be odd being in the pack of moron tourists instead of the girl on the street staring blankly at the idiot who just asked me where the Washington Monument is (visible from any part of DC or VA that one might get lost looking for it). I am so conflicted! Oh well, I'm sure it will be a growing experiance.
My trip couldn't have been timed better as my patience with DC is quickly running out. Just last night, there was another shooting on my street (the last one was Christmas week) though to be fair, we haven't had a building fire in a while.
So anywho, I will be in Seattle February 20th through the 2nd but in conference till the 24th. I expect this year's trip to have less of the surreal quality of the last with more of a whirlwind feel and intresting twists. Most notably, Karriem will be joining me in Seattle on the 28th when we will be enjoying the best damned macaroni and cheese this world has to offer!
