So I'm finally in Seattle! You know your friends love you when they greet you at the airport with hugs and a flask. We hit the Alki trail last night too (two of us on bikes and two on rollerblades) taking in some of the most beautiful views I have seen in a year. I woke up so relaxed and well rested this morning that I felt like I've been here for a week already!
PS- it's not raining.
Not that anyone cares but me, but today on my way home, I didn't hit a single red light long enough to dismount or where I couldn't ride through the intersection anyway : )
That's just plain cool!
It's intresting what mile markers we choose to denote our journey towards adulthood. I am pleased to announce the sighting of my milemarker putting me no longer in the ranks of the early to mid-twenties, the just graduated college, or the "first time I've done this without my parents". I am an adult.
Today, I got my Fidelity statement to find that my porfolio is worth more than the amount of my student loan debt! Look out world, your little Georgi's all grown up.
If I learned anything this morning it's that smoking and stairs don't mix. I'm either going to have to stop smoking or move into a rambler : (
I have forsaken my worldly conforts to buy this fanstastic 2004 bianchi pista. One of the bike couriers that hangs out outside my shop thought I'd like it so he hooked me up with the guy selling it (he has a bum knee and is moving into a smaller apartment). I gave him a deposit leaving me with only $15 to last me till next Friday, but four people actually offered me a few bucks to get me through the week. I declined of course, but it sure is nice to know you've got friends <3.
On a random note, to get me in shape to ride the Pista and as his lastest project, Lawrence has offered to be my personal trainer. I may grow to resent this decision, but as for now, I'm waking up at 5 on Monday to go to the gym!
