Think you're green?

In preparation for this year’s Earth Day activities, I was checking out some websites and ran across this great little "footprints" quiz to measure the impact we as individuals have on the environment (and on ourselves). Results got you down? I’m helping to get people together for Casey Trees Weekend Tree Plantings. Sign up directly through them, or email me (georgi@zatloka.com) and I’ll get you on our list.

Shenanigans!

Apparently, yet another incompetent manager is ruining 15th and K. It makes me so sad to see people (incomprehensibly) employed when they openly have no concern for their jobs. It just makes you want to kick back and watch yourself get promoted on grounds of seniority. I am, on the other hand, working my ass off, putting up with people’s shit, and still waiting for my own store. Jose’s taking good care of me though and I'm sitting in limbo at 17th and Penn for my turn. And though I quit for a while, I’m approaching a pack a day again.

Also, I’m finally getting roommates! Hip Hip Hurray! But I have to say, all the commotion is a bit unsettling. I’m going from living by myself for three months to two people moving in by Thursday and most likely two more in the next few weeks. My psycho alarm hasn’t gone off yet though so I’m anticipating a smooth transition.

Charectors!

So I'm starting with a new dance teacher, Artemis, next week and I'm thrilled! She's a beautiful dancer and a delightful instructor.
On another cultural note, more wine should be arriving this week! The Egri Bikaver was fantastic and I’m getting some Croatians Cherry wine this time as well. To taste these and many other delights (like gesztenyepure!) check out Otto’s Deli. But make sure you call him after noon (on this coast) or you’ll wake him up like I did. Although apparently, he’s perfectly happy to talk politics at any time of the day. You go Otto!

A picture is worth a thousand words

Much awaited pictures from my trip to Seattle (yes 6 months ago) were finally developed at which point I considered drop kicking my camera across the backyard. Most did not turn out, while others were grainy, dark, or out of focus. There are a few cute ones though and they're here for your enjoyment. For clarification, Laura is spanking people because we're at a Halloween party (and that makes it okay). She also went on to date Piglet (looo-serrrr). Chris is her new man. Bad photo, nice guy.
