...with wings on my feet and a song in my soul..

Having now embraced the technological era, I more efficiently (and often in lounge pants) go about my daily tasks. Highlights of my nine day on-line adventure include doing my taxes, shopping (not for myself!), and chatting with friends (once I figured out the commands for xchat).
Props are hereby given to Paul, for the generous gift of my computer and then the subsiquent task of making it Georgi-proof and Georgi-friendly, to Alonzo, for delivering said computer, and to Jon and Richard, who have built this website for me and tried to answer strings of mind-numbingly assanine questions.

Setbacks include hanging up on Paul in xchat:
10:20 [OPN] [msg(georgi)] yuckety yuck yuck
10:25 [OPN] * pabs:georgi waves his arms
10:26 [OPN] [msg(georgi)] hullo!
10:30 [OPN] -!- Irssi: georgi has left OPN
:(

Getting used to the lifestyle was tough too:

trying to expand my attention span I openned xchat and started checking my email. Then I decided to get a magazine I wanted to quote in an email so I went upstairs to get it and when I came downstaris I noticed that this other end table would work better so I rearranged the living room a little and found my incense so I burned some but I had to clean the shelf it was on. So then I actually started checking my email and was really happy with this thing so I forwarded it to Laura and then I realized that Paul had sent me a message in xchat but he's already gone.

It's been a long, hard journey but that's the way we like things around here.
PS- I haven't smoked for 62 hours and the body count is still at zero. So far so good. Good luck to Tom on this endevour as well (but what the hell is he going to do with all those matches?!)

Happy belated birthday

Hey sweetie. We finally got it together and got your birthday present going. Well, to be fair, we were waiting for you to have a computer. Paul acquired and set up your domain, and installed the blog, and I did the rest with help from richard.

I hope you like it. If you don't, I can change it.

I will also add whatever links you want me to. I just didn't want to start adding them until I had talked to you.

When you are ready for a tutorial on how to get rolling, let me know. I will walk you through it and answer any questions you might have. You'll have it down in no time, I am sure. :)

You can delete this note. I will show you how. Love to you, and happy belated birthday again. :)

Love,
Jon
